Lodhran: In recognition of their exceptional services during Eid-ul-Adha, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, honoured the sanitation workers of Lodhran district with special bonuses.
A grand award distribution ceremony was held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr Lubna Nazir at a local marquee, where a total of 860 sanitation workers were acknowledged for their outstanding performance.
Each sanitary worker received a special Eid bonus of Rs 10,000, awarded on behalf of the chief minister
for their exemplary cleanliness efforts during the Eid holidays. The event was attended by prominent political figure Umair Khan Baloch, Assistant Commissioner Lodhran Erum Shehzadi, and District Manager of the Solid Waste Management Company Ms Fariha.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Dr Lubna Nazir, the chief guest, praised the sanitation workers for raising the district’s pride with their dedication and hard work. She highlighted that over 2,500 workers collectively managed the timely disposal of 5,000 tons of animal waste over the three days of Eid-ul-Adha, ensuring a clean and healthy environment across the district.
Dr Nazir emphasized that the acknowledgment and monetary rewards were part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision to value the efforts of essential workers. She further highlighted the outstanding performance of the Solid Waste Management teams in ensuring prompt waste disposal across the district.
