RAWALPINDI:Police have arrested 9 illegal arms holders and recovered arms, and ammunition from their possessions during the crackdown here on Saturday.
According to a police spokesman, Pirwadhai police held three illegal arms holders Amjad, Ahmed, Shiraz and recovered 3 pistols 30 bores from their possession.
Similarly, Rawat police recovered 01 pistols 30 bore from Hamza and 01 pistol 30 bore from Hammad.
While, Kahuta police recovered 01 pistols 30 bores from Jameel.
Following operation, Kalar Syedan police nabbed Adeel and recovered 01 pistol 30 bore from his custody.
Airport police booked Nauman and recovered 01 pistols 30 bore from his possession and 12 round pistol 30 bore from Zai Iqbal.
Police have registered separate cases against the accused and further investigation was in progress.
Divisional SPs commended police teams and said the crackdown will be continued against illegal arms holders.
