ISLAMABAD: In a swift response to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad’s directives, the Assistant Commissioner of Pothohar Nahel Hafiz took decisive action against overcharging culprits in the local vegetable market.
The crackdown resulted in the arrest of six individuals found guilty of manipulating prices beyond the allowed limits, ICT spokesman Dr Abdullah Tabasum said on Monday.
As part of the ongoing daily operations targeting issues like price hikes and encroachments, the Assistant Commissioner meticulously displayed a rate list and closely monitored the prevailing prices in various areas of the Pothohar subdivision.
