SARGODHA:Assistant Commissioner Kotmomin Aleeza Rehan on Saturday visited three villages and reviewed the erosion caused by the river Chenab. During her visit to erosion hit areas- Talibwala, Gurna village and Kot Naja, she directed the residents to move to safer places immediately due to
continuous erosion by the river.
The affected people requested the Assistant Commissioner to start river bank protection work at the vulnerable points without any delay. Aleeza Rehan assured them that the irrigation department and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) would be asked to build infrastructure along the stretches of river banks to prevent further losses of precious land and agricultural properties of people.
