ASTORE: Assistant Commissioner Shounter and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tauseeq Ahmed here on Friday visited the AVR Road from Gorikot to Pakorai Das to inspect the ongoing construction activities, particularly blasting work, traffic movement and difficulties faced by the public. Project Manager AVR Road Shamraiz was also present during the visit.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner received a detailed briefing from the concerned officials about the ongoing blasting work, progress of construction activities and scheduled timings for vehicular movement. He directed the staff to strictly follow the traffic schedule during blasting operations to avoid inconvenience and ensure the safety of passengers, local residents and other road users.
He emphasized that public convenience, smooth traffic flow and protection of human lives must be given top priority during construction work. He also directed the concerned staff to ensure proper safety arrangements before blasting, regulate traffic according to the prescribed timings and inform the public in advance about the schedule.Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Tauseeq Ahmed said that the protection of public life and property was the top priority of the district administration and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
He further said that strict implementation of safety measures and traffic schedules would be ensured during the ongoing development work on AVR Road so that construction activities could continue smoothly while causing minimum inconvenience to the public.
He directed the concerned staff to take all necessary precautionary measures and ensure their effective implementation in the larger public interest.
