ISLAMABAD:In order to combat the escalating dengue threat, Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Aneel Saeed on Tuesday carried out a comprehensive inspection tour of various locations within the subdivision.
The inspection drive was a determined campaign to enforce strict adherence to dengue prevention protocols.
Accompanied by diligent dengue teams, the Assistant Commissioner Secretariat, set out a comprehensive survey of different locations in his jurisdiction, an ICT Spokesman Dr Abdullah Tabasum said.
With an unwavering commitment to eradicate the virus, the inspection resulted in blocking factories, tire shops, garbage cans, and various other potential breeding grounds.
The Assistant Commissioner Secretariat took action by sealing a trash bin for blatant violations of dengue Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The responsible owner was apprehended and subsequently shifted to the local police station.
Meanwhile, other offenders were issued fines and stern warnings, which was a manifestation of the unwavering resolve of the district administration to protect the community, he added.
