ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad Police Tuesday arrested an accused of killing security guard of a private bank within hours of the crime.
Adil Qureshi, security guard of a private bank located in F-10 Markaz, Shalimar police station jurisdiction was shot dead inside bank by unidentified culprit.
The Inspector General Police (IGP) Islamabad, Muhammad Ahsan Younas taking notice of the incident directed SSP Operations Muhammad Kamran Faisal for detailed inquiry into the murder and arrest of the murderer, said a news release.
The SSP Operation following the directions of the IGP constituted a team headed by SP Saddar Zone, Tasawar Iqbal which collected the evidences from the crime scene using modern technology and scientific methods.
The police traced and apprehended the murderer Sulman Qureshi s/o Parvez Qureshi, hailing from Muzaffargarh. The detainee in preliminary investigation revealed the he was working as public relation officer in the said bank for last one year. He barged into bank, gunned down security guard and attempted to break locker but could not succeed after he fled the scene.
