LAHORE:The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) would take action against the plaintiffs who make false applications under 182 PPC, which was punishable by six months.
Adviser to Chief Minister for Anti-Corruption Musadaq Abbasi and Director General Anti-Corruption Nadeem Sarwar said this while holding an open court at DG ACE on Tuesday.
The adviser made it clear that along with the elimination of corruption in government institutions, the officers and officials of the ACE would also be held accountable.
DG ACE Nadeem Sarwar said that open courts were being held in all the regional offices to redress grievances at the regional level. Today, 35 applications have been received and immediate action had been taken, he added.
Among the complaints received, apart from Pakistani citizens, overseas Pakistanis have also filed their complaints, he maintained.
Nadeem Sarwar said that this was the second open court of the ACE department in a year and the purpose was to redress people’s issues. The redressal of public complaints was the priority of the department, he added.
