SARGODHA:A delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by Rob Storey visited Sargodha and had a meeting with Director General Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Tauqeer Haider Kazmi here on Wednesday.
According to PHA spokesperson,important issues related to making Sargodha a model city were discussed.
He said a committee was formed to prepare a ‘green transmission action plan’ for which Deputy Director Admin and Finance Shafique Niazi was appointed as the focal person.
”Under the green transmission action plan, Canal Road would be developed while the Mela Mandi ground on an area of 30 acres would be converted into race course style, and plantations would be made on an area of 10 acres in Model town”,he added.
The Asian Development Bank team will visit 15 parks,26 green belts during their visit as well as identify other areas which can be converted into green areas.
On the occasion,DG PHA Syed Tauqir Haider Kazmi said that Authority was utilizing all the resources for the beautification of the city.
