ADC Attock orders intensified dengue prevention measures

Attock: Additional Deputy Commissioner General Attock Anil Saeed on Friday chaired a meeting to review arrangements for dengue prevention and control at the MC Hall, directing relevant departments to intensify field activities and ensure effective measures against the spread of the disease.



Addressing the meeting, the ADC said the onset of the rainy season had increased the risk of dengue and stressed that no negligence or laxity would be tolerated in anti-dengue activities. He directed officials to remain vigilant and take timely preventive measures to protect citizens.



During the meeting, he ordered the concerned departments to strengthen field surveillance and ensure comprehensive identification and elimination of dengue larvae. He also directed officials to continuously monitor vulnerable areas and immediately take action wherever dengue larvae were found or suspected.



The meeting reviewed the current progress of the anti-dengue campaign, while officers were instructed to complete all assigned targets within the stipulated timeframe in accordance with the Punjab government’s directives.



The ADC also emphasised coordinated efforts to effectively contain the dengue threat in the district.
