GUJRAT:Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Khizran Ali chaired a meeting to review fertiliser availability, monitor prices and prevent hoarding in the district.
According to an official source, the meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Khurram Shahzad and attended by price control magistrates and other relevant officials.
The meeting discussed establishing a control room at the DC Office to monitor fertiliser prices and stocks, while joint teams would inspect dealers’ stocks, warehouses and sales outlets to check compliance and prevent hoarding.
The ADC directed fertiliser dealers to sell DAP and other fertilisers at government-notified relief rates, issue receipts for every transaction and prominently display official price lists at their shops.
A control room and helpline number will also be established to address public complaints regarding fertiliser prices and availability. Citizens can also lodge their complaints directly with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement).
