SARGODHA:A joint meeting of Agriculture consultative Committee and Agriculture Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner(General) Umar Farooq at his office here on Wednesday.
Director Agriculture Shahid Hussain, fertilizer dealers, representatives of farmers and officers of various departments.
The meeting reviewed the Agriculture department performance, ongoing schemes, farmer training program, Subsidized Agriculture machinery and equipment, present condition of fertilizers and their rates, fines impose on dealers for selling sub-standard pesticides and cases registered against them.
The Director Agriculture Shahid Hussain said that while briefing the meeting that there was no shortage of fertilizers in the division whereas the urea fertilizer was available at fixed rates set by government.
Action against the fertilizer’s hoarders and profiteers was going on a daily basis in the four districts of the division, he added.
