RAWALPINDI:Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting an Intelligence-based operation against drug traffickers managed to recover over 2 tons charras and arrested four accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Monday.
He informed that in an operation conducted on Western Bypass near Mengalabad Quetta, 2330 kg charras were concealed in a truck-mounted cement mixture machine.
During the operation, a small vehicle was also impounded along with the truck.
Two suspects in the vehicle were getting the truck route cleared as a facilitator. During the operation, a total of four suspects, residents of Qilla Abdullah, Quetta and Chaman were arrested from the car and truck.
The accused were trying to smuggle drugs from Chaman to Sindh via Quetta.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused under Anti-Narcotics Act.
The spokesman informed that the raids were being conducted to net other members of the gang.
