RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting seven operations across the country managed to recover over 152 kg drugs and arrested three accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Saturday.
He informed that 21.6 kg opium was recovered from secret cavities of a vehicle intercepted near Motorway Toll Plaza Kala Shah Kaku. A resident of Mardan was arrested during the operation.
In another operation near Kala Shah Kaku, 10 kg heroin was also recovered from a vehicle. Two accused residents of Bannu were arrested on the spot.
In third operation, 500 grams heroin concealed in bed sheets was recovered from a parcel booked at a courier office in Lahore for Bahrain.
Over 100 kg hashish concealed for smuggling was recovered in two operations conducted in Kach and Gawadar.
During two other operations conducted near Bajaur and Khyber, 20.5 kg hashish was recovered.
Cases were registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act and further investigations were started.
