Anwar Kakar distributes 50 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Quetta, Muhammad Anwar Kakar, along with the Regional Director of Muslim Hands International Balochistan, Malik Naeem Javed, distributed 50 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities (PWDs) on Friday.

On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muhammad Anwar Kakar said that the district administration, with the support of Muslim Hand International, has distributed wheelchairs among people with disabilities.

He urged other welfare organizations to come forward for the welfare and rehabilitation of disabled people so that the lives of these people in our society can be made easier.

Regional Director of Muslim Hands International, Balochistan Malik Naeem Javed said that Muslim Hand International has been working in Balochistan for the past 23 years in various fields.

The district administration requested that wheelchairs be provided to disabled, poor, and entitled people. In the first phase, under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner Quetta Muha
mmad Anwar Kakar, wheelchairs were provided to 50 disabled people. In the next phase, around 300 wheelchairs will also be provided.

He said that Muslim Hand International provided 1, 000 shelters during the earthquake in Balochistan, while they have been in the field since the first day to help the victims of last year’s floods and have built houses for 100 victims in Mastung and Jaffarabad.

In more than a dozen districts of Balochistan, our organization is always playing its role to reach out and help the needy people, he added.
