ATTOCK: An armed bandit was overpowered and later handed over to police during a botched robbery incident at the at the Peoples Colony Chowk in Attock City on Sunday.
According to police sources, Faizan Ali has reported to the police that he and his brother were going back to his house after withdrawing cash from the local bank when, when they reached the Peoples Colony Chowk, an armed bandit equipped with a pistol while riding a motorcycle intercepted them and, on gunpoint, tried to snatch money from them. Ali added that as he voiced the alarm, people in the area came to rescue them, overpowered the armed bandit, and later handed them over to the police.
Later, the suspect was identified as Muhammad Zaki, a native of Sheenbagh.
Police registered a case against the suspect and launched further investigation.
