Sukkur: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khairpur, Syed Ahmed Fawad on Friday said that the 77th Independence Day of Pakistan will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor in the Khairpur district.
Presiding a meeting to review the arrangements for Independence Day celebrations, he said that a circular had been issued to Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and an elaborate program had been chalked out to mark the national event in all eight talukas of the district.
DC said that national flags would be hoisted at all government buildings while exclusive Independence Day celebrations would be held at District and Taluka Headquarters. He said people from all walks of life were enthusiastically participating in Jashan-e-Azadi functions.
