Asad Umar inaugurates flood relief fund desk at OPC

LAHORE:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf general secretary Asad Umar on Thursday inaugurated Floods Relief Fund Desk here at Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab.

According to OPC spokesperson here, OPC Vice Chairperson Syed Tariq Mahmoodul Hasan, Director General OPC Ishratullah Khan Niazi, Director Admin Tanveer Majid, Director Revenue Muhammad Aslam Ramey and other officers were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Asad Umar said that overseas Pakistanis were a valuable asset of the dear motherland, adding that the PTI and the Punjab government were solving the problems of Pakistanis living abroad on top priority.

Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas gave a detailed briefing about the performance of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission.

Vice Chairperson OPC Syed Tariq Mahmoodul Hasan said that 30384 complaints had been registered on the web portal so far, out of which 20433 complaints had been redressed with a rate of 67 percent.

He said that the OPC Punjab had been performing for the welfare and protection of Pakistanis living abroad and taking solid steps for welfare of overseas Pakistani.

He said that contacts were being made with the Provincial Ministers and Members of Assembly to make the District Overseas Pakistanis Committees more active. He said that solving the problems of overseas Pakistanis was their first priority and these were being solved under one roof in OPC.
