ISLAMABAD:In a crackdown on overpricing, unauthorized use of polythene bags, and dengue SOP violations, the Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Aneel Saeed on Tuesday visited different areas of the Sub-Division.
The Assistant Commissioner inspected price lists, unauthorized use of polythene bags, and overall cleanliness in different areas of the Secretariat subdivision.
They sealed two shops for overpricing and arrested the shopkeepers, who were transferred to the police station. While other violators were fined and warned in accordance with the law.
The Assistant Commissioner also ensured the implementation of dengue SOPs at various locations. They arrested two contractors of under-construction buildings for violating dengue SOPs at under-construction buildings, petrol pumps, marble factories, workshops, tyre shops, nurseries, dustbins, and other places.
In an anti-encroachment operation on Kurri Road in collaboration with the Magistrate, CDA, and DMA, the Assistant Commissioner removed several illegal constructions and seized the equipment.
The Assistant Commissioner’s actions are widely appreciated by the citizens and considered a welcome move to ensure that businesses comply with the law and that residents are protected from overpricing, dengue, and illegal constructions.
