Lahore: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari on Thursday, responding to Fawad Chaudhry over a payment made by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, said that unnecessary propaganda was being spread over the clearing date mentioned on the cheque. She said normal cheques in Pakistan were cleared the following day, adding that it was a standard banking procedure. Once the amount was deposited in banks, she added, clearance took place on the next day. Azma Bokhari said Grok itself had provided an answer to Fawad Chaudhry’s lack of understanding on the matter. She added that a person who used to operate a helicopter at the rate of Rs55 per kilometre, and whose leader had spent billions of rupees, would be better advised to remain silent.
