Balochistan Education Minister distributes books to college libraries


Quetta: Provincial Minister for Education, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, has launched an initiative to provide modern and high-quality books to libraries of 21 male and female colleges in Quetta.



In a dignified ceremony held at Government Postgraduate Girls College, Quetta Cantt, books were distributed among principals of girls’ colleges as part of the first phase of the program.



Addressing the ceremony, Minister Durrani emphasized that the present government is utilizing all available resources to promote education and provide better facilities to students across the province. She noted that after scholarships, buses, and laptops, special attention is now being given to college libraries, with the distribution of books forming a vital link in this chain of educational reforms.



She further stated that quality books play a crucial role in enhancing students’ academic, research, and intellectual standards, and assured that the government would continue to take steps to encourage a culture of reading in educational institutions.



The ceremony was attended by Director Colleges Professor Hussain Baloch, Subject Specialist Saadia Farooqi, Principal Sabahat Azmat, Joint Director Colleges Saeeda Niaz, along with principals of various colleges and other officials.
