LAHORE:A body in a sack was recovered in a vacant plot near Usman Chowk in the Badami Bagh area here on Saturday. According to the police, the victim’s throat had been slit, and there were also signs of violence on the body. The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Shafiq, son of Munir Ahmed, reportedly a resident of Nowshera Virkan in the Gujranwala district.
Police officials stated that an identification card was recovered from the victim’s pocket, which helped confirm his identity. Upon being notified of the incident, a forensic team arrived at the scene to collect evidence. Following the completion of these procedures, volunteers from the Edhi Foundation transported the body to the morgue.
