Lahore: A 12-year-old boy was set on fire by dousing in petrol in Old Anarkali.
According to police, the incident of setting fire to a 12-year-old boy, Awais, took place in Old Anarkali. Police have registered a case on the complaint of the injured boy’s brother, Muhammad Rajab, but the accused have not been arrested yet.
Awais was present at his brother’s jewelry shop when two boys, Tahir and Affan, after a minor argument, first tortured him and then poured petrol on him and set him on fire. Awais was severely burned and his condition is said to be critical.
A video statement of the injured boy has also come to light in which he has given details of the incident. Police say that the accused will be arrested soon and strict action will be taken according to the law.
