Islamabad: The District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad has urged citizens to avail free hepatitis screening, diagnosis and treatment services available at government health facilities in the federal capital.
According to official sources, the initiative aims to promote early detection, ensure timely treatment and raise public awareness about hepatitis prevention under the Prime Minister’s National Programme for the prevention and control of disease.
They added free screening, diagnostic and treatment facilities are available at the Rural Health Centres (RHCs) in Tarlai, Bhara Kahu and Sihala, the Community Health Centres (CHCs) in Rawat and Shah Allah Ditta, and the Basic Health Units (BHUs) in Sohan and Golra Sharif.
In addition, free medical consultation, hepatitis screening and other available healthcare services are being provided at government health facilities across Islamabad.
Health officials have emphasized that timely screening, preventive measures and appropriate medical care are essential to controlling hepatitis and reducing the risk of serious complications.
They asked the citizens to visit their nearest government health facility to access available services and take preventive steps to protect themselves and their families.
They said that the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen primary healthcare, improve public awareness and advance the goal of a hepatitis-free Pakistan.
