Cleanliness operations intensified across Lahore

Lahore: The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) teams are working in all three shifts across Lahore to ensure cleanliness services are provided in all union councils.



On the directions of LWMC CEO Sheryar Arif Khan, officers are also continuously monitoring cleanliness operations, while the anti-littering squad is conducting surveillance at markets and major roads across the city to maintain cleanliness standards and prevent littering in urban areas.



As part of efforts to further improve sanitation, Deputy CEO Operations Nauman Mahmood and GM Operations Zahid Fareed Tarrar, along with senior officers, reviewed sanitation arrangements in different areas.



Deputy CEO Operations Nauman Mahmood visited Allama Iqbal Road, Bird Market, Tariq Road and various localities of Garhi Shahu to inspect cleanliness arrangements.



He also monitored manual and mechanical sweeping activities on Burney Road, Fazal Street and Mughalpura Road.



Meanwhile, the SPAL anti-littering squad conducted special surveillance at Bird Market and briefed shopkeepers on cleanliness regulations and the need to avoid littering in urban areas. Shopkeepers were also directed to place dustbins outside their shops.



CEO Sheryar Arif Khan said timely container clearance and door-to-door waste collection were being ensured across the city.



He said officers were personally monitoring field operations to ensure the immediate and effective resolution of sanitation-related issues.



He said the uninterrupted provision of cleanliness services in all areas of Lahore, timely waste clearance and maintenance of cleanliness standards remained the top priorities. He also urged citizens to cooperate with sanitation staff.
