CM for proper arrangements to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)

Karachi:Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presided over a joint meeting of religious leaders and the administration and decided to celebrate Eid Milad-u-Nabi with traditional respect and reverence on 12th Rabiul Awal (September 17).

He directed that all government buildings be illuminated for the occasion.

CM Shah directed the administration and the police to make necessary arrangements for celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi in consultation with the religious scholars/ulemas. He also urged the Ulemas to cooperate with the administration.

The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Shah, Saeed Ghani, Zia Lanjar, Riaz Shah Shirazi, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Home Secretary Iqbal memon, Commissioner Karachi Hassan Naqvi, Secretary to CM Raheem Shaikh, Adl IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho.

The ulemas who also attended the meeting include Haji Hanif Tayyab, Allama Kokab Noorani, Mohammad Jan Naeemi, Allama Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, Maulana Yakoob Turabi, Allama Muzaffar Shah, Dr Jame
el Rathore, Akbar Dars and others.

The religious leaders/ulemas brought up concerns about the repair of roads and drainage, continuous power supply, and effective security. The Chief Minister (CM) acknowledged that heavy rains had damaged the roads and that emergency repairs were not feasible but reassured that his government was working on a comprehensive overhaul.

Shah instructed the water board and KE to ensure proper water and power supply to the mosques. He also directed Commissioner Karachi, Hassan Naqvi, and Additional Inspector General Karachi Javed Odho to provide foolproof security for the Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession and coordinate its time and route with the ulemas.

The ulemas expressed their gratitude to the CM for his support and cooperation.
