Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the “Honhaar Scholarship Program,” fulfilling another commitment to educational advancement.
Registration for this initiative has been officially started. The programme is tailored to address global job market demands, providing scholarships to 30,000 students annually across 68 disciplines.
Eligible candidates include students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges.
Additionally, scholarships will extend to students at prestigious institutions such as LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, and the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, along with seven other top private universities.
Over the next eight years, the Honhaar Scholarship Program plans to distribute scholarships worth Rs 130 billion, benefiting 120,000 students in the coming four years. Interested students can apply at honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk.

ryam Nawaz emphasized that this programme will ensure access to quality education for deserving and talented students. “The Honhaar Scholarship Program will eliminate financial barriers for intelligent students seeking higher education,” she said.
The CM highlighted that the initiative aims to fulfill the educational dreams of the youth, enabling them to pursue advanced studies and achieve their aspirations. “We are committed to providing higher education and excellent employment opportunities for young people,” she added.
The programme is set to provide substantial financial support, significantly impacting the future of countless students in Punjab.
