College professors’ stage protest for resolving issues

PESHAWAR:President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Professor Lecturers Association, Jamshed Khan, led protests against the exclusion of teaching faculty from the Provincial Selection Board.



To press their demands, college professors across the province boycotted classes. Similar protests were organized in other districts.



They boycotted classes and organized protests within the college premises to support their demands. In Peshawar, college professors had previously announced a province-wide protest against their exclusion from the Provincial Selection Board.



President Jamshed Khan stated that college professors are being deprived of promotions in their next grades. He also mentioned a strong wave of concern among college professors, noting that the Higher Education Department’s approach is incomprehensible. He warned of an indefinite strike on college campuses if their issues were not resolved.
