Lahore:Lahore Divisional Commissioner Zaid-bin-Maqsood extended a warm welcome to the trainee provincial officers from Sindh at the Commissioner Office, here on Monday.
A briefing session was held under his chairmanship to familiarize the officers with Lahore’s inter-departmental coordination mechanisms and operational workflow.
During the session, the Commissioner provided an overview of the Punjab government’s urban services and programs. Topics covered included the Clean Punjab initiative, price checking mechanisms, smog management, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), socio-economic registration, and monsoon arrangements.
In the second session of the briefing, Babar Sahibdin, CEO of the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), highlighted the company’s performance in waste management and the challenges faced.
Dr. Mujtaba Murtaza from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) detailed the services provided to both private and regular housing societies, as well as one-window services.

ed that during the current monsoon season, 360 mm of rainfall was recorded. He praised the effective management measures that led to successful drainage operations. At the end of the session, the commissioner presented shields to the senior officers from the Sindh S and GAD.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Director Development Javed Rashid Chohan, Additional Commissioner Hamid Malhi, Additional Commissioner Revenue Usman Ghani, CEO LWMC Babar Sahibdin, Assistant Director Hafiz Iqbal, and ADG Headquarters LDA Dr. Mujtaba Bharwana, along with officers from MCL and Wasa.
