Quetta:Commissioner Lasbela Division, Saira Atta, formally inaugurated the Commissioner Lasbela Division office established at the Divisional Headquarters in Uthal on Thursday.
Government officials, local notables, and individuals from various walks of life attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Lasbela Division Saira Atta stated that the establishment and operationalization of the Commissioner’s office at the Uthal Divisional Headquarters fulfills a long-standing demand of the local population.
She noted that the creation of the administrative division and the strengthening of the administrative infrastructure here would provide the public with easier access to government services, eliminating the need for them to travel to distant areas to resolve their issues.
She affirmed that all available resources would be utilized to ensure the provision of better administrative facilities, good governance, transparency, and the prompt resolution of public grievances for the people of Lasbela Division.
She said that the operationalization of the Commissioner’s office would enhance administrative coordination among the division’s districts and improve the monitoring of development projects, public welfare initiatives, and the implementation of government policies.
Commissioner Saira Atta commended the measures taken by the Balochistan government to make the administrative system effective and public-friendly, under the leadership of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, the provincial government has taken significant measures to resolve public issues and effectively extend administrative functions to the grassroots level; these initiatives are yielding positive results.
She stated that the operationalization of the Lasbela Division’s administrative headquarters in Uthal marks a major milestone for the local population, this move would not only expedite administrative processes but also facilitate easier public access to government institutions.
Local residents and notables present on the occasion expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Federal Minister Jam Kamal Khan, and the provincial government for operationalizing the Lasbela Division’s administrative structure and establishing the Commissioner’s Office in Uthal.
They said that the people of Lasbela Division had long demanded the strengthening of the division’s administrative system at the local level and the activation of the Commissioner’s Office, the fulfillment of this demand has brought joy and satisfaction to the local community.
The notables remarked that Lasbela Division is a vital region of Balochistan significant for its natural resources, coastline, industrial activities, and geographical location and that establishing a robust, effective administrative system there would create new opportunities for development.
They hoped that Lasbela Division would usher in a new era of progress and development in Balochistan, with the development process further accelerated through effective administrative oversight, the delivery of public services, and good governance.
Local residents also pledged to work alongside the government and district administration, playing a full role in the region’s development, public welfare, and the maintenance of peace and stability.
