Sargodha: A review meeting on the progress of ongoing and newly launched road sector development schemes was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Monday. According to an official spokesperson here, the meeting was attended by Director Development Bilal Hassan, Executive Engineers (Highways) from all four districts of the division, and the Deputy Director Development.
During the session, the Executive Engineers presented a detailed briefing on schemes under the Annual Development Programme (ADP), Road Rehabilitation Programme, Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), and the Chief Minister Punjab’s newly launched road initiative, ‘Sarakain Bahal, Punjab Khushhal’ (Rehabilitated Roads, Prosperous Punjab).
The briefing covered scheme-wise details including funds utilized so far, pace of ongoing work, required funds, and overall physical progress.
Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali categorically stated that no delay, substandard work, or inefficient use of funds would be tolerated under any circumstances.
He directed the concerned officers to accelerate the pace of work on all ongoing schemes and ensure 100 percent transparent and timely utilization of available funds.
