RAWALPINDI:Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Laiqat Ali Chatha and Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema paid a detailed visit to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) and Red Crescent Hospital (RCH) here on Thursday.
He inspected various departments of the HF Hospital including Dengue Ward, Emergency, OPD, Surgical Ward, Male and Female Ward, Children’s Ward and Medicine Room.
Chatta inquired about the treatment facilities of the patients and their attendants about the medical facilities in the Hospital.
In the light of the orders of the Punjab Government, the treatment facilities were being further improved, he said and directed the officials to redress the complaints of the patients immediately.
The Commissioner was also briefed about the Health Management Information System (HMIS) in the OPD of the Hospital.
Laiqat said free medicines should be provided to patients under HMIS and display awareness banners regarding HMIS.
Later, the Commissioner along with Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and Assistant Commissioner City Zunira Aftab visited Red Crescent Hospital.
They inspected various units and reviewed the facilities provided to the patients.
Chatta said that the Red Crescent Hospital would be made a model hospital so that the citizens do not have to go to the big hospital for minor diseases like fever and cold.
After the Red Crescent Hospital becomes fully operational, the rush in major hospitals would be reduced, he said and added that a committee of philanthropists would be formed to run the hospital independently.
