GUJRAT:Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Health Authority Gujrat, Dr Syed Ahtizaz Ahmed, visited Tehsil Pir Shah, Islam Pura, and Haji Wala on Thursday to review the performance of Community Health Inspectors (CHIs) and the delivery of healthcare services at people’s doorsteps.
According to a spokesperson, he visited several households and sought feedback from residents about the healthcare services being provided to them. He also reviewed child growth assessments for children under five, physical screening of pregnant women, and procedures for checking blood sugar and blood pressure.
He emphasized the need to ensure quality primary healthcare services for people at their doorsteps.
Under the Community Health Inspector programme, CHIs provide routine healthcare services, including childhood immunization, in their designated areas.
The Health Department will soon establish vaccination kit stations in areas assigned to CHIs to improve childhood immunization coverage and strengthen the delivery of other healthcare services to local communities.
