Complex Orthopedic Surgery Successfully Performed free of cost at GIMS


Sukkur: Doctors at the Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) have successfully performed a complex orthopedic operation on a young man, giving him a new lease on life. According to details, young Muhammad Ali, who was suffering from a severe orthopedic condition, was admitted to GIMS. A team of orthopedic surgeons led by Dr. Sajjad Bhatti performed the surgery.



The operation was completed successfully and the patient’s condition is now reported to be stable. Footage from the hospital shows the young man standing and walking with the help of a walker just a short time after the surgery, under the supervision of medical staff.



The administration of GIMS on Sunday said the success is a result of the modern and quality medical facilities being provided at the institute. The Sindh Government has equipped GIMS with state-of-the-art machinery and specialist doctors to provide free, world-class treatment to the people of Sindh.



Hospital Director Dr. Rahim Bux Bhatti appreciated the efforts of the orthopaedic team and said that GIMS is committed to providing standard treatment facilities to the common man at their doorstep, which was previously only available in big cities or abroad.



The family of the patient expressed their gratitude to the doctors and the Sindh Government for the successful operation and free treatment. GIMS Gambat has emerged as a leading public-sector hospital in Sindh, where complex liver transplants, orthopedic, cardiac and other major surgeries are being performed free of cost.
