Lahore: Students from the Public Relations Department of COMSATS University visited the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR), Punjab, for a study tour, here on Monday.
During the visit, they were briefed about the department’s functions, strategies, and its role in promoting government policies.
Director General Public Relations Ghulam Saghir Shahid addressed the students, emphasizing that DGPR serves as an effective bridge between the government and the public. He also shed light on the interrelation between public policy and public relations.
Additional Director General Public Relations Abid Noor Bhatti gave a presentation on media planning and public engagement strategies. He explained how DGPR tirelessly works through its various wings to address public issues and communicate the government’s narrative effectively to the masses.
During a question answer session, students inquired about work pressure, media management, and public engagement strategies, to which detailed responses were provided.
