FAISALABAD: The construction work is ongoing with fast pace on five parking plazas, aimed at providing an effective and permanent solution to parking issues at the Clock Tower (Ghanta Ghar) and its surrounding areas.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique on Friday visited the sites currently under construction and closely reviewed the progress of development work at Katchery Bazar (Zail Ghar), Aminpur Bazaar, Karkhana Bazaar, and Diugluspura.
He directed the authorities concerned and contractors to further accelerate the pace of construction and said that projects must be completed within the stipulated time frame.
He said that the parking plazas would provide a permanent resolution to the longstanding parking issue in the central commercial hubs of the city.
The sites will offer parking capacity for thousands of motorcycles, which will not only help in smooth traffic flow in the bazaars but also significantly facilitate the movement of traders and buyers.
