Lahore:An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday extended the judicial remand of Maulana Muhammad Tahir Saifi, a leader of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), involved in inciting people against the top judge of the country, for another 14-day.
Earlier, the police produced the TLP leader before ATC Judge Irfan Haider at the expiry of his judicial remand. The investigation officer submitted that challan (charge-sheet) was at the final stage of the preparation and it would be filed soon. He pleaded with the court to extend judicial remand of the accused.
At this, the court extended the judicial remand of the accused for another 14-day and ordered his production upon expiry of the term, October 4. The court also directed police to file the challan as soon as possible.
Sheikhupura A-Division Police Station had registered a case against the TLP leader.
