FAISALABAD: City Police Officer (CPO) Kamran Adil has visited the route of main mourning procession to be taken out in Faisalabad during Muharram-ul-Haraam.
SSP Operations Hussain Javaid Bhatti, SSP Investigation Abdul Wahhab, SP Lyallpur Town, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) and others were also present on the occasion.
The CPO checked security arrangements for mourning procession and directed the Incharge security Lyallpur Town to further improve the security in order to ensure full safety of the mourners.
He said that strict monitoring would be ensured at procession route and no one would be allowed in the procession without thorough checking.
He also reviewed security arrangements in city bazaars and directed the security officers to depute snipers at all buildings falling in the route of mourning procession.
He said that drone cameras would also be used for aerial monitoring of the procession and its participants.
He directed the police officers to perform their duties honestly and diligently as no neg
ligence, lethargy or delinquency would be tolerated on security of mourning processions during Muharram.
