GILGIT:Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan Muhiudeen Wani while talking to journalists here in Gilgit said that team GB was proactively working with zeal and commitment to ensure that no incident like “Darel velly girls school” will ever happen again.
He said that, in this regard, upon my directions, a comprehensive security plan encompassing all such measures required to thaw any miscreant from ever damaging the ‘place of learning’ has been approved for District Diamer.
Chief Secretary GB said that we would ensure that the children of Gilgit Baltistan get their education in the most peaceful and pluralistic environment without any fear of life and liberty. He said that we would not let the extremists instil hatred and bigotry among the innocent children through education and only EDUCATION.
He said that the key features of the Security Plan were 1. Presence of Chowkidar in schools round the clock.
2. Female schools in Darel to be mannes with Levies and Police.
3. GB scout to patrol in the AOR of Schools.
4. Lambardar(s) to play active role in providing security to schools.
5. School Tahafuz Committee to be constituted in every school by the concerned ACs.
