RAWALPINDI:Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Taimoor Khan has directed the traffic police to take strict action against those causing traffic jams and traffic violations within their respective areas.
The encroachment must be wiped out to maintain flow of traffic.
In this regard, the warning notices have been issued to those creating obstacles in traffic and wrong parking in New Town Circle.
In charge of New Town Circle, is actively working to ensure smooth traffic flow by taking action against traffic violations and wrong parking.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan emphasized the prior warnings notices and awareness campaign in the New Town Circle area.
He stated that traffic violations and wrong parking not only lead to traffic congestion but also cause inconvenience to other road users.
No leniency will be shown towards such violators.
Furthermore, efforts are underway to make Rawalpindi’s roads into a role model for the province by eliminating traffic violations and wrong parking.
This initiative aims to not only improve traffic flow but also benefit local businesses directly, he added.
