DC Abbottabad emphasizes for quality education and facilities

ABBOTTABAD:Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner Khalid Iqbal on Tuesday emphasized that the provision of quality education and facilities to the students is a top priority for the district administration.

He chaired a meeting of the District Steering Committee of the Education Department and issued directives regarding the provision of facilities in schools.

Iqbal emphasized the improvement of education, the provision of essential facilities in schools, and the implementation of a modern teaching approach in line with the demands of present-day students.

He also provided guidance on the appointment of administrative staff in schools, 24/7 water supply, electricity provision, transformer maintenance, and the uplift of schools in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) affected areas.

The Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad also directed the department to develop a comprehensive action plan for the transparent distribution of syllabus books and the maintenance of schools.

During the meeting, the Director of Education Monitoring Authority, Aiza Qureshi, briefed the committee on the performance and progress of the previous Steering Committee meeting.

The meeting was attended by ADC Relief and Human Rights Abbottabad, District Education Officer (DEO) male Tanveer Ahmed, DEO female Dildar Begum, Deputy DEO Male, Deputy DEO Female, SDO Communication and Works Department, Sports and other officers from the Education Department.
