Karachi: Deputy Commissioner Karachi Central Taha Saleem met with Director General Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Asif Jan Siddiqui, at the Civic Center here on Monday. The meeting took place in a cordial, purposeful, and constructive atmosphere.
During the meeting, the officials held detailed discussions on ongoing and proposed development projects in Karachi, improvements to urban infrastructure, land and property matters, encroachments, traffic management, drainage systems, and various administrative issues related to public facilities.
The special emphasis was placed on the need for close coordination, mutual cooperation, and a joint strategy among all relevant institutions to provide sustainable and effective solutions to citizens’ problems.
DG KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui stated that the KDA is committed to fulfilling its constitutional and legal responsibilities for the city’s planning, development, and provision of urban facilities. He added that developmental goals are being achieved through collaboration with various government departments.
He expressed resolve that KDA will utilize all available resources to contribute to Karachi’s overall development and improve citizens’ quality of life.
The DC Central assured full cooperation from the district administration with KDA, stating that coordinated measures and institutional harmony are essential to address the city’s challenges.
He emphasized strengthening communication between the district administration and KDA to enable timely and lasting resolutions to public issues.
Member Administration Shakeel Siddiqui, Director Land Atif Hussain Naqvi, and Additional Director State and Enforcement Muhammad Arif were also present on the occasion.
