QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Meherullah Badini on Friday emphasized that providing relief to the public is the top priority of the district administration.
He said this while chairing a meeting to address the rising prices of flour in the city and to provide relief to the public.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Anwar Kakar, along with officials from the Food and Industries departments.
During the session, a detailed review was conducted regarding current flour prices, market conditions, and the provision of flour to the public at reasonable rates.
Following comprehensive analysis and consultation, it was decided that the Food Department would issue an official price list for flour on a weekly basis, and strict compliance with this list would be ensured.

He said that arbitrary price hikes and profiteering would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He directed the relevant authorities to continuously monitor the implementation of the weekly official price list and to initiate strict legal action against any violators, ensuring that citizens are able to obtain flour at the prescribed government rates.
