MULTAN:Newly posted Deputy Commissioner Capt (R), Rana Rizwan Qadeer, has ordered officials concerned to launch a vigorous campaign against profiteers.
Special price control teams have been formed under the supervision of Assistant Commissioners in this regard.
DC said that price control magistrates have been given the task of imposing fines on a daily basis in the field.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of price control magistrates held at the DC office here on Thursday. On this occasion, all the district officers and price control magistrates were present.
DC Rizwan Qadeer said that action will be taken against big hoarders by identifying them with the help of a special branch while FIRs also registered against them.
He further said that the steps were inevitable to give relief to the common citizens under the directions of the Punjab government and now strict decisions will be taken.
He directed the ACs to ensure the supply of cheap food items in the market. Meanwhile, DC has ordered to open the doors of his office to the general public by introducing an open door policy.
