DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Upper Ashfaq Khan on Friday inaugurated Monsoon plantation campaign in the district by planting a sapling at DC Compound.
Speaking on this occasion, the deputy commissioner appealed to the citizens to take part in the campaign for maximum plantation to make the district more lush and green.
He said that plantation was a Sadqa-e-Jariah (persistent charity) which helps to make the area free from environmental pollution.
He said ‘the planting a tree was great gift for coming generations and we all have to play our role to give pollution-free environment to coming generations.’
