SIALKOT: Deputy Commissioner Adnan Mehmood Awan on Tuesday met with the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association Sialkot (PGMEA) on Tuesday. PGMEA Chairman Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhary, Senior Vice Chairman Arslan Sheikh, Vice Chairman Moazzam Ali, Executive Members Qasim Mehmood, Sadaqat Ali Khan, Owais Ahmed, Asad Naseer Malik, Nadeem Abdullah, Sohail Masood, Syed Shahzada and Secretary General Ali Muqaddas were also present. Ijaz Chaudhary said that gloves industries were earning valuable foreign exchange 972 million dollars annually for the country through export. He said short technical courses had been launched at school level and youth care counseling could also play an important role to overcome skilled manpower. DC Adnan Mehmood Awan said research and development must be focused to promote industries.
