Sargodha: Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Muhammad Waseem spent the entire day on the field on Saturday, assessing the situation arising from the heavy rainfall and mobilizing municipal departments.
According to the spokesman for district administration, the DC conducted multiple inspections of low-lying areas, markets, main roads, and disposal sites across the city and personally oversaw the drainage of rainwater.
Under the Deputy Commissioner’s directives, Additional Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners, along with other officials, remained in their respective areas and utilized machinery and manpower of municipal departments in a coordinated manner to provide relief to the public in the shortest possible time.
The DC was in direct contact with all Assistant Commissioners, seeking regular updates on the drainage of rainwater. The Deputy Commissioner stated that all departments were working together in a coordinated effort to address the extraordinary situation caused by the rain, and the situation w
ould soon return to normal.
