MULTAN:The District Design and Planning Committee reviewed measures for improving urban infrastructure and regulating commercial activities in line with the city’s master plan.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Faisal Saleem chaired the meeting and reviewed cases seeking approval for various commercial sites. He directed the relevant departments to ensure strict compliance with rules and regulations.
The deputy commissioner ordered inspections to identify unplanned construction and buildings erected without approved maps, directing authorities to take legal action against violators.
He said commercial activities would be permitted only in accordance with the prescribed rules and the master plan. He further directed officials to consider building regulations, urban planning requirements and infrastructure needs while approving commercial buildings.
Dr Faisal Saleem stressed the need for effective measures to prevent illegal construction and improve the city’s infrastructure to ensure orderly urban development.
