KHANEWAL: Taking notice of rush of women at Ehsaas Kifalat Programme (EKP) centers and subsequent mismanagement and indiscipline, deputy commissioner Salman Khan Lodhi on Tuesday ordered officials to set thing right by enforcing an effective strategy for convenience of the registered aid recipients.
Presiding over a meeting, Lodhi said that all the centers should have proper and suitable place to enable registered recipients sit there and wait for their turn. He also ordered to make drinking water facility available.
DC said that 93, 800 deserving women were receiving financial assistance from centers and ordered that more centers should be set up in areas where officials were witnessing rush of women for better management.
He asked bank officials to improve the process of payments. Officials informed that 30 per cent of the total women registered in Khanewal have received payments.
Assistant commissioners, Ehsaas officials besides officials from other departments and HBL attended the meeting.
