SARGODHA:Administrator Municipal Corporation and Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Thursday reviewed the administrative, financial and planning affairs of various departments of the Municipal Corporation and directed officials to improve performance and ensure effective measures for better civic facilities and the removal of encroachments.
Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Ahmad Bilal Makhdoom and Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Sher Gondal briefed the deputy commissioner on the performance of various departments, ongoing activities, planning branch affairs and the corporation’s financial matters. Municipal Officer Regulation Zoya Baloch was also present.
The briefing covered ongoing operations against encroachments across the city, progress made so far and action taken against illegal occupations of public spaces.
The deputy commissioner was also informed about the Municipal Corporation’s budget, expenditures, financial affairs and development planning.
Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry directed officials to make anti-encroachment operations more effective and indiscriminate to ensure unobstructed public pathways and facilitate the movement of citizens.
He also instructed the concerned officers to improve the performance of all departments, ensure the transparent and efficient utilisation of financial resources, and adhere to prescribed rules and regulations in planning matters.
The deputy commissioner further emphasised the need for coordination among relevant departments to resolve civic issues and directed effective monitoring of administrative affairs to improve the overall performance of the Municipal Corporation.
